According to AA Traffic and Travel, a lane is closed on the M66 northbound, before junction one.
Traffic is said to be slow n the area.
Police have been approached for more details.
A spokesperson for AA Traffic and Travel said: “One lane closed and slow traffic due to crash on M66 Northbound before J1 A56, Walmersley Road.”
