Sony Launches New Series Of Premium BRAVIA TVs; Focuses On Bringing ‘Cinema Home’
Sony India is breathing new life into its premium BRAVIA television lineup, aiming to bring the magic of cinema right into people’s homes. At a recent launch event in Hyderabad on September 30, the company introduced its new BRAVIA 9, 8, 7, and 3 series under the captivating campaign “Cinema is Coming Home.” This initiative is designed to transform living rooms into personal theaters, allowing viewers to experience films as they were intended. The well-known filmmaker SS Rajamouli has joined the brand as its ambassador for 2024, adding a touch of cinematic flair to the launch.
At the forefront of this refreshed lineup is the flagship BRAVIA 9 series, boasting cutting-edge XR Backlit MasterDrive technology. This innovation promises stunning brightness, impressive contrast, and rich, natural colors. To create an even more immersive viewing experience, these televisions can be paired with new audio devices like the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 8, Theatre Bar 9, and Theatre Quad. Sunil Nayyar, managing director of Sony India, expressed that the goal of “Cinema is Coming Home” is to capture filmmakers’ visions authentically, providing dazzling visuals and sound that resonate with movie lovers.
In an effort to make their products more relatable, Sony is shifting away from complex model names like A80L or A95L. Instead, the company is introducing more memorable marketing names to help customers better understand the BRAVIA offerings. This change is intended to simplify choices and strengthen brand loyalty among consumers.
With expertise in both consumer electronics and professional filmmaking, Sony is uniquely positioned to create a true cinematic experience at home. The new BRAVIA series features Studio Calibration, which ensures that picture quality aligns with the intentions of directors. Collaborating with popular streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video enhances this experience, allowing viewers to fully engage with films in the way they were meant to be seen.
This new lineup is set to redefine the home viewing experience, allowing audiences to dive into the heart of cinema. As Rajamouli noted at the launch, BRAVIA offers more than just a way to watch movies; it creates a connection to the storytelling magic that makes films so captivating.
Furthermore, the BRAVIA lineup includes advanced technologies such as IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision and Atmos, enhancing both picture and sound quality. With these innovations, Sony is inviting consumers to transform their living rooms into havens for cinematic enjoyment, promising an unparalleled viewing experience.
