49ers' Nick Bosa shows Trump support, flashes MAGA hat during postgame interview
(KRON) — The San Francisco 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football in front of a national audience. However, one 49ers player started trending for reasons outside of what happened in those 60 minutes of play.
49ers star defensive end Nick Bosa crashed an on-field postgame interview of George Kittle, Brock Purdy and Isaac Guerendo with NBC’s Melissa Stark. Bosa, 27, showed off a white Make America Great Again (MAGA) hat he was wearing in support of 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The 2022 NFL Defensive Player of the Year makes it known who he is voting for with just nine days until the 2024 Election. Speaking at the podium postgame, Bosa was asked about showing off the hat.
“I’m not gonna talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important time,” Bosa said.
As of 10 p.m. Sunday, an X clip of Bosa flashing the hat on the national NBC telecast has garnered more than 450,000 views on the social media platform.
