Watch: Chinese Man’s Commute For Work From 18th-Floor Building Without Elevator Reminds Netizens Of Sci-Fi Movies
A Chinese man’s seemingly relaxing commute for work to the city of Chongqing is amusing the netizens worldwide. Over 32 million people reside in the Chinese megacity of Chongqing, that is also known as ‘mountain city.’ One of the largest producers of automobiles in China, the terrainous ‘3 D city’ has several buildings that have multiple ground floors that looks like a pretty ordinary street until you peep down from the dizzying heights. The viral video of the Chinese doing the rounds on social media shows him exiting is 18th floor building that has no elevators. The ground floor of the multilevel city skyscraper is on the 12th floor! He cheekily quips that “sunlight is a luxury” for those who dwell in the ground floor. The entrance of the metro looks like a fall out shelter. The view from metro and the rollecoster of a bus ride that takes to the 20th floor, over the bridges dangling mid air will give anxiety to viewers who are scared of heights. Reactions poured in with netizens dubbing the video as dystopian scene from a sci-fi flick. Others remarked that the view from the buildings were inducing indescribable anxiety. Not for the faint of heart but undeniably a remarkable feat in architecture, town planning and infrastructure by the Chinese.
This more and more look like some dystopian future city of some sci-fi novel
Subway which actually 12 story above the ground but still not received much sunlight exposure because of more higher high rise, community plaza located 20 stories from the earth surface etc
