Autopsy pending on slain woman found with severed foot last month in the South Loop
Detectives are continuing an investigation into the death of a woman who was found with her foot severed last month in the South Loop.
Officers found the 36-year-old’s body when they responded to a well-being check about 7:20 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 1200 block of South Prairie Avenue, Chicago police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy to determine her cause of death was still pending Saturday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
No arrests have been reported.
