What better place to celebrate the festival of lights than in the Crossroads of the World?

The event was all dhol dhamaka and DJ performances, with Indo-American artists enthralling the audience until late evening. One of the highlights of the Diwali At Times Square was Raja Kumari’s gig.
Only a week ago, the venue witnessed Durga Puja festivities with sight and sound. It seems like the New Yorkers will get to witness more of desi festivities with performative touch catered to the local crowd, especially the Indian diaspora. Some of these events rope in celebrities and A-listers from Bollywood as well. Perfect opportunity for desi political lobbyists to make the most of some of the lowest hanging fruits in the garb of festivities. Will we get to see Holi at Times Square too?
