Infosys Co-founder Narayana Murthy Bought Rs 50 Crore Kingfisher Tower Flat In Bengaluru; Internet Has Thoughts

Billionaire founder of Infosys, Mr NR Narayana Murthy has reportedly purchased a lavish property in a prime Bengaluru location. The 8,400 sq ft apartment in the city’s Kingfisher Towers in the CBD area is worth Rs 50 crores. The 16th floor property is a four BHK apartment. Four years earlier his wife, a Rajya Sabha member and a vocal advocate of simplicity, had bought a flat on the 23rd floor for mere Rs 29 crore.

Reactions poured in with netizens taking a dig at the “Simple Murthys,” who have repeatedly advocated for a simple life and bragging about it in several anecdotes in their previous interview spree. One netizen asked, “Do humans need a 50 crore worth flat for living in Bengaluru.” Another jibed, “Employees se majdoori karwa kar mast maje hai.” “Talks about a simple lifestyle. Wasn’t aware that simple lifestyle means Rs 50 crores,” remarked one. “Dusro ke din me 50 ghante kam karwa ke khud maje maar raha,” quipped yet another user. “He just wants to keep an eye on employees roaming around Church Street and MG Road,” joked one. “Preaching frugality to the masses while living in luxury reeks of hypocrisy,” commented another netizen.
