Woman’s Post On ‘Rude’ And ‘Difficult’ Gen Z Triggers Debate Online; ‘Millennials Don’t Want To Pay’
A woman recently sparked a heated debate online after sharing views of her friends about Gen Z in the modern corporate world. Taking to X, she said that many of her friends have stopped hiring people from Gen Z due to their attitude. According to Harnidh Kaur, her friends think Gen Z employees are “rude” and “difficult to work with.”
“So many of my friends are now not hiring gen z NOT because they aren’t smart or good at their jobs (they are) but because they’re rude, difficult to work with, and don’t know how to behave with other colleagues. Honestly hard to defend a lot of the stuff lol (sic),” she wrote.

The woman went on to say that Gen Z always feel entitled and do not care about anyone’s feelings except for theirs.
“To quote a someone who’s really put in the effort to try and bridge the gap- ‘they expect everyone to make space for and care about their feelings but if you ask them to care about anyone else’s, it’s too much work for them and they lash out,” she wrote.
While many agreed with Kaur and her friends, others hit back saying older people are much harder to deal with and that they even ‘exploit’ the young ones.

“I’ve worked with all kinds of age groups, and I’ve found older people to be the most challenging. The older they are, the slower and more difficult they can be,” replied a user.
“I can say the same for boomers and millenials who don’t want to pay their employees fairly, have no life of their own, want everyone to slog at work, and are mostly intolerant of diversity and yes, they generalise. The new generation wants work life balance and the old folks hate it and don’t want anyone to question anything,” wrote another.
On the flipside, there were those who do find Gen Z annoying. “Largely agree. Sense of entitlement is too much, without onus of delivering !” a user commented.
“That’s a fact, they think they own the world and are super rude,” another wrote.
